Event Overview
On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the General Incorporated Associations Double Helix and B.F.S. will co-host a commemorative event to celebrate the founding of Double Helix.

This event is aimed at parents of elementary school students and features experienced teachers from private schools who will share practical methods for nurturing “self-esteem” and “non-cognitive skills” (such as motivation, cooperation, and perseverance) at home. The event will be held at Sugamo Junior and Senior High School, with options for in-person attendance or archived viewing.


Speakers and Moderator
The event will feature Mr. Hidemasa Okada from Sugamo Junior High School, Mr. Hiroyuki Obara from Komaba Toho Junior High School, Ms. Yuko Murata from Oyu Gakuen Girls’ Junior High School, and Mr. Ken Hirai from Senzoku Gakuen Junior High School.

These teachers will share successful examples from their schools and practical support methods that can be applied at home. The discussion will be moderated by Yushin, a YouTuber specializing in junior high school entrance exams and founder of Growy Private Tutoring.

Through a discussion-based format, the speakers will provide actionable insights and tips tailored for parents to help support their children’s growth effectively.


Fostering “Self-Esteem” and “Non-Cognitive Skills” at Home
The event will delve into specific topics such as “how to boost self-esteem at home” and “ways to foster cooperation and perseverance.” The speakers will offer practical advice on creating a home environment that encourages children to gain confidence and achieve meaningful growth.

Attendees will learn actionable strategies for daily interactions, such as effective communication and incorporating small practices into everyday life to nurture their children’s self-esteem.


How to Participate
The in-person event will be held at Sugamo Junior and Senior High School, with a fee of ¥3,000 per family, limited to the first 200 registrants. Additionally, an archived viewing option will be available for ¥1,000.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to support the future activities of the General Incorporated Association Double Helix. Further details about registration and participation will be provided via email.
